Meet Greyson’s 2020 Q2 MVP—Silvia Reyes
Here at Greyson, we recognize and value the strength of our team. The Greyson MVP award recognizes team members who are committed to excellence, exhibit passion for Greyson, its clients and our communities, and embody our core values: Help First, Fun, Pride, Committed, and Courage. Winners are nominated every quarter by their fellow peers!
Meet Silvia Reyes, Marketing and Communications Manager, two-time MVP champ, curator of our #FeelGoodFriday playlist and our 2020 Q2 MVP award recipient! Silvia has over a decade of experience in the marketing and communications field and has been leading Greyson’s marketing team for over 4 years. She is known for her help first attitude and going above and beyond in everything she does. Here’s what some of the team had to say about her:
“The effort, focus, and outside-the-box initiatives Silvia has rolled out have been amazing and motivating. It is awesome to work with someone that truly cares.”
“Silvia exhibits each of the Greyson core values in everything she does. She always has a help first attitude and adds a layer of fun with her crazy hats and fun activities. I very much enjoy working with her.”
“Silvia’s creativity and quality of work is exceptional!”
1. What brought you to Greyson? Why did you want to work here?
I had spent most of my career in a corporate setting and I was amazed at what Greyson had accomplished in a short period of time. Coming from a corporate background, it was exciting (and a little nerve-racking) to have the opportunity to help build the foundation of a growing organization and play a role in bringing the company’s vision to life.
2. What do you enjoy most about what you do?
My role allows me to do some of the things I love most: giving back to the community, collaborating with our team, and conceptualizing ideas and seeing them through to the finish line. No two days ever feel the same!
3. Which of our core values resonates with you most and why? (Help First, Fun, Pride, Committed, Courage)
Help first, for sure—and fun. If we’re going to do something, let’s have a good time doing it!
4. Who inspires you and why?
My boys, Adrian and Alexander. They are my everything. I love seeing the world through their eyes. Their resilience, honesty, courage, acceptance of others, and forgiving hearts fuel me and inspire me every day.
5. What’s one thing not many people know about you?
I’ve never had a McDonald’s burger!
6. What do you enjoy doing most outside of the office?
Spending time with my family, kayaking, trying new recipes, going to concerts (it’s been a while), and exploring around Florida.
7. How would you describe your leadership style?
My natural instinct is to serve, always. I like to help and encourage others to unlock their potential. When you focus on empowering and uplifting those around you, only great things can come of it.
8. What’s the best advice you’ve been given in your career?
Wherever you go, whatever you do, make an impact.
9. If you could have dinner with anyone (past or present), who would you choose and why?
Abigail Adams. She was the strongest female voice in the American Revolution and a fierce advocate for women’s rights in a time where the term was unheard of. It takes courage to stand up for what you believe in, especially during that time.
10. What’s your favorite song from the #FeelGoodFriday playlist? You can check out to the full list here.
That’s a tough one! I could probably listen to Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder over and over again: “Ain’t nothin’ gonna break-a my stride. Nobody gonna slow me down, oh no. I got to keep on moving!”
