Meet JD Hunt, our 2019 Q4 MVP award recipient and Sr. Account Manager in the South Florida region! JD is known for his passion, integrity, and leadership skills. Here’s what some of the team had to say about him:

1. What brought you to Greyson? Why did you want to work here?
Greg’s (Greyson CEO) vision brought me here. I knew Greyson’s business model would be a game-changer. I had been in the IT industry for quite a while at that point. I saw the struggles on the customer side, the frustration, the gaps in the partner/vendor/client world. I was ready to be a part of an organization that was willing and intentionally shaking things up for the better.
2. Tell us about what you do every day in your role.
It’s very much like playing quarterback. Calling the right play at the right time so everyone knows what they must do to deliver on the call. There is a lot of planning and facilitating that takes place in my role on a daily basis. As a quarterback, I depend on my team and they depend on me to see that our clients’ goals are met. I’m responsible for leading my team and customers to long-term success—that’s a duty I don’t take lightly.
3. What do you love about working at Greyson?
We never let our clients down. In our world, that sometimes entails some heavy lifting and creative thinking but we’ve never been the type to shy away from a challenge. I love the fact that as a company, Greyson is committed to doing right by our clients.
4. Which of our core values resonates with you most and why? (Help First, Fun, Pride, Committed, Courage)
Help First, for sure. If the stage is set right and you’re being a good communicator and facilitator, success will find you. Leading with understanding and a help first attitude helps the pieces come together and makes for a great team and an even better experience.
5. Who inspires you and why?
There are so many people I could name! If I had to choose only one, I’d say Bill Gates and the other Bill Gates of the world. The ones that are generous with their time and money. The ones that are committed to changing the world and are using their talents and resources to make it happen.
6. What’s one thing not many people know about you?
I love, love, love animals.
7. What do you enjoy doing most outside of the office?
Spending time with my boy Austin, working out and playing golf.
8. What’s the best advice you’ve been given in your career?
“Your reputation is everything. Without integrity, you’re nobody.”
9. If you could have dinner with anyone (past or present), who would you choose and why?
Martin Luther King Jr. without a doubt. I lived in Louisiana as a very young child and it influenced my life so greatly. I saw the way people were treated solely because of the color of their skin. It was horrible. I have always admired his approach and the way he led the civil rights movement…The world needs more MLKs!
10. We don’t know which 2 teams will face off just yet, but who do you think will win it all at Super Bowl LIV?
Painful for me to say, but RAVENS for the win!
